The 2010 riding season is still several weeks away but these winter months are the perfect time for reading about motorcycling activities and planning rides. Reduced prices on all books purchased through this site. Not only that, but all books ordered through this site will be autographed by the author and dedicated as the purchaser requests. An autographed book with a personalized note to the recipient makes a great gift even more special. Treat yourself, your spouse, or your biker buds to a surprise they will really appreciate - motorcycling books unlike any others, or a military history memoir about one of our nation's most contentious periods for the veterans or history buffs in your life.

Author Bill Murphy is a motorcyclist with more than thirty-five years riding experience, a former Marine and Vietnam veteran, a fan of history, and a consummate wanderer who likes nothing more than exploring the country on two wheels.

He is also the author of five books. His motorcycling travel guides, published by Arbutus Press, are one-of-a-kind books that tell the reader more about the people, fascinating places and attractions, great roads, and the history of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin than most people will discover in a lifetime. In April 2009 RoadRUNNER motorcycle magazine reviewed the books and gave them high praise, calling them "fun and informative reads".

Souvenirs of War is a powerful story of one Marine's experiences and of an entire generation affected by the turbulent 1960s and the Vietnam War. PERSONAL APPEARANCES: Bill will be part of Hayden Honda's annual motorcycling seminar on February 28, 2010, talking about Great Lakes touring opportunities and selling & signing books. Hayden Honda is in Kendallville, Indiana, north of Fort Wayne. On April 18, 2010 Bill will be at the Delafield, Wisconsin library to give a talk and show slides about the Wisconsin book, highlighting the many rides and attractions discussed in the book. He'll do a similar program covering all of his motorcycle travel books at the Marshall, Michigan library on the evening of May 4, 2010. Books will be available for purchase at these two library events. On Sunday, April 25 Bill will be selling and signing all books, and hanging out just to talk with fellow riders, at the Giant Motorcycle Swap Meet at the Wisconsin Expo Center in Milwaukee.
